从90年代起喜欢上欧美音乐的人们，极少有不知道《音乐天堂》（music heaven）这本有声杂志的。在当时，信息量的匮乏使这本水平并不很高的刊物流传的很广。我曾和小学、初中同学分购各月的《童话大王》、《故事大王》，然后，和高中同学分购《音乐天堂》。
起初，我相当bs音乐天堂a面流行、b面摇滚的排曲方式，这种方式从两种人的手中都赚到了足够的钱。不过，后来他们用心做了几本水平很高的特刊（《朋克时代》系列和《盛世摇滚》系列），这让我对他们的看法大有改观。事实上，这几本特刊在相当长的一段时间里，引导了我的音乐品位的走向。随后我明白到，表达这玩意儿不是随随便便就可以做的，需要积累够一定实力才可以。就像周星驰拍过一些喜剧片后，才得到拍他喜欢的功夫片的机会。就像丑媳妇熬成婆后，才想说什么就敢说什么 ^_^
关于对音乐天堂的看法还有很多，回头一并详谈。
下面列出了音乐天堂前十多期的曲目表，可以看出，那时的选曲是以流行乐为主的，很适合刚接触欧美现代乐的听众，比如上中学时的我。
背景音乐换成了duran duran乐队翻唱lou reed的“perfect day”（请参看这里
